The problem is probably caused by too many tasks in the database.
The database server has performance problems.
This is related to earlier problems (bug) with the task generator.
I think that if the number of tasks in the queue (PERF) decreases, the problem will also be minimized.

Now the send queue is empty that problem should be gone.

Please turn on the task generator so we can find out of the problem is fixed.

My Linux machines almost always have a task running. It's rare to see them NOT have one active.

None of my Windows machines have had any work for several months...

My log file looks just like Dr Who Fan's.
Cannot get tasks and then timeout for 303 sec,

Haven't received a task in literally months, yet there are 10's of thousands available?

Unfortunately, the problem is on the storage layer.
More precisely on the results data archiving layer.

Unfortunately this is not to be done very quickly and we have delays. Very long delays...

At the moment (in a fast way) I want to introduce badges.

The new automatic work generator gave us plenty of work for a few days, but once again no Windows tasks available.

Thanks

Well we have 184,000 tasks available and none of them are iThena PERF tasks

iThena PERF was supposed to me leaving BETA and becoming a main line production application ?

Not only that..
1) For about 48 hours now, the project website is either slow to load or outright fails to load.
2) Multiple upload and download errors on the few tasks have been able to get where the BOINC client times out due to website unavailability.

This project is starting to go the same route as the currently deceased NCI Goofyxgrid aka "monkey" project.

Tried to post this about 3 hours ago but the server's SSL connection kept failing.. Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox both refused connections with or without HTTPS/SSL.

APPEARS THERE IS A "Unknown SSL protocol error" causing the upload/download issues.

Currently, tasks for the iThena PERF application are automatically generated.
However, they are generated in a limited amount.
The tasks consumption is higher.
I don't want to increase the number of generated tasks significantly at this point due to the system load.
I will gradually increase the number of tasks available in a given period of time.

A bunch of machines on the project, no tasks at all. 10000 tasks to be sent.
What gives?

Currently both Applications are new release and are BETA. To get these you have to answer "Yes" Run test applications? in the iThena Preferences on your account.

Thanks! Added the fleet. Now apparently server is out of diskspace so I guess I'll just hope I can get tasks in before the deadline, assuming I get any tasks to begin with. Did just check the box for run test applications so we'll see what happens throughout the day.
