After installed & run the iThena in windows10 machine, it looks soon the network driver failed to work
and I can no more access the internet.
Do you think that the iThena probe could corrupt the network driver in that windows10 machine?

I highly doubt it. BOINC and the projects you run under BOINC would not have any reason to write outside of the BOINCData folder.

The recent January 2022 Windows Update might have caused a problem with network/VPN drivers... See:
https://www.windowscentral.com/microsoft-addresses-windows-update-vpn-problem-issues-fix

If that is not applicable...
1) Check your computer for virus / malware;
2) Then make sure your hard drive is/has not going bad by running a "scan disk" in safe mode;
3) Reinstall the network drivers.

Ok. Thanks for your opinion.
I had to reformat/reset the Windows10, what means all the programs except windows are removed and all the drivers is reinstalled.
Now I got the WiFi+network drivers back.
I tried reinstall/reset the drivers alone, but that didn't work. Whole windows10 system had to be reset.
At least windows-defender didn't report of any virus, not sure if there was any virus.

Good to hear thing are working again. Too bad you had to go the "Full Nuke Route" and reset/reinstall Windows.
I would guess with 99.999% certainty there was no virus unless you want to consider the monthly "Patch Tuesday" Windows Update itself a "virus" -- LOL. It can break many things as I linked in my previous post.

I have been in the Tech / Computer industry since just before the "desktop" PC era (nearly 40 years) and IMHO, each Windows major version upgrade seems to get slightly more bloated and buggy than the previous rendition. Windows should not try to be the "Swiss army knife" nor "Jack of all trades".
